CALL TO ALL BLOGGERS

We all spend countless hours of our day blogging about issues that we deem important, groundbreaking, progressive and astounding. However, we never take the time to step back and ask how our blogging, our efforts, our opinions and statements on and about various issues will change and/or effect politics, campaigning and election outcomes. Most recently, I found myself incredibly interested in how the Internet is effecting and changing the face of politics. More specifically though, how are we, as constituents and members of this Nation, using user generated content to rally individuals, generate attention and foster change around an issue or individual . For example, in the recent 2006 Congressional election, members of the Webb campaign and citizens of this country posted video content on youtube of George Allen which, in my opinion, led to the downfall of his candidacy.

So I am calling out to all bloggers, where do you stand on this issue? How do you see the Internet effecting/changing/adjusting politics? How do you feel that youtube has changed campaigning and election outcomes? And, how do you see blogging helping, changing, creating progress, and thus effecting politics, campaigning, and election outcomes?
